Borealis Ventures Managing Director and Co-Founder, Jesse Devitte, explains his thoughts on the future of construction. He thinks the next big thing will be data to improve the build environment. As the largest hurdles for the development of the construction industry he sees the project-driven business models and the challenges for start-ups to get the required venture capital. However he expects that there will be an increase of risk capital and that financing will take into account more deliverables like sustainability.  The most successful companies will be the ones that share data and not just collaborate.
